About Smart Robot Vacuums.
Tapo smart robot vacuums combine LiDAR mapping, app control and home automation. The robot learns the layout of your home, cleans room by room and returns to its dock without help.
From the Tapo app you set schedules, mark no-go zones, choose suction power per room and watch the cleaning map in real time. Self-emptying models tip the dust into the base, so the bin needs attention once every few weeks. Mopping versions handle hard floors, and obstacle avoidance keeps cables, slippers and pet bowls out of the way.
As part of the Tapo ecosystem the vacuum joins automations with your other devices — clean when everyone leaves, pause when the doorbell rings. We are the official TP-Link partner in Azerbaijan.
How to choose a robot vacuum — the Tapo RV range
Three things matter more than price: suction power (measured in Pa), navigation type and whether there is a self-emptying dock. In a carpeted flat a weak model leaves the job half done, and in a flat with narrow corridors weak navigation means constant rescuing.
1. Navigation is the key difference
Gyroscopic navigation (Tapo RV10) is simple and affordable: the robot cleans in stripes but builds no map. LiDAR models (RV20, RV30 and above) map the room precisely with a laser, tell rooms apart, allow no-go zones and work in the dark. In a multi-room flat LiDAR pays for itself.
2. Model comparison
| Model | Navigation | Mopping | Self-emptying dock | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tapo RV10 | Gyroscopic | Basic | No | Studios and 1–2 rooms, a first robot |
| Tapo RV10 Plus | Gyroscopic | Yes | Yes | Anyone who dislikes emptying the bin |
| Tapo RV20 | LiDAR | Yes | No | Multi-room flats, room-by-room cleaning |
| Tapo RV20 Plus / RV20 Mop Plus | LiDAR | Yes / enhanced | Yes | Homes with pets, daily automatic runs |
| Tapo RV30 / RV30 Max Plus | LiDAR | Yes | On RV30 Max Plus | Large flats with both carpet and hard floors |
| Tapo RV50 Pro Omni | LiDAR + obstacle recognition | Washing and drying | Fully automatic | Maximum automation, minimum handling |
3. What the self-emptying dock is for
Models ending in Plus or Omni empty the dust bin into a bag in the dock after each run. In practice that means you do not touch the robot for weeks — a real advantage for allergy sufferers. Simpler models need the bin emptied by hand every one or two runs.
4. App and smart home
Every Tapo robot is controlled from the Tapo app: schedules, room selection, no-go zones and suction level. The models support voice control through Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and share one app with the rest of the Tapo smart home range.
Frequently asked questions
Which model handles carpets?
For deep pile, choose higher suction — the RV20 series and above raise power automatically when they detect carpet.
Will it fall down the stairs?
No. Every model has cliff sensors and turns away when it detects a drop.
Does mopping actually work?
For everyday dust and footprints, yes. For dried-on stains, models with rotating pressure mops such as the RV50 Pro Omni are far more effective.
Are spare parts available?
Yes — brushes, filters and mop pads are in the accessories section.
Is there a warranty?
All robot vacuums are sold by the official TP-Link partner in Azerbaijan with an official warranty.
