Tapo C222 is a Wi-Fi home camera: live view on your phone, motion alerts, night vision and recording to a memory card. People use it for a nursery, a hallway, the front door, a yard or an office.
Note: footage is stored on a microSD card or in a Tapo Care cloud plan; the card is not included and is bought separately. If the internet drops, card recording continues while cloud recording stops — on important spots it is safer to use both together.

Yes, infrared illumination gives a black-and-white picture in darkness. Pointing the camera outside through a window does not work well, because the illumination reflects off the glass — outdoors needs a weatherproof outdoor model.
Continuous high-quality streaming takes roughly 1–2 Mbit/s of upload per camera. One or two cameras will not disturb an ordinary home connection; with 4 or more, check your upload speed or record to the memory card only.
