Who is the Archer AX55 for?

The Archer AX55 is an AX3000 class Wi-Fi 6 router: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. In practice it is built for a two to four room flat or a single-storey house, around 20–25 connected devices and a 100–500 Mbps plan. Two 4K streams, a child's online lesson and a work call at the same time are no trouble for it.

It is not for you if: the home is two storeys or over 120 m² — a Deco mesh system is the right answer there; your plan is 50–100 Mbps — the Archer AX23 or AX10 do the same job for less.

Which ISPs does it work with in Azerbaijan?

It works with the cable and fibre lines of Citynet, Baktelecom, Delta Telecom and other local ISPs. If the provider installed an optical terminal (ONU/modem), the device connects to its LAN port; if the cable arrives directly, it goes into the WAN port and the PPPoE details are entered in the Tether app. With some providers the connection is automatic (DHCP).

If the provider's modem has its own Wi-Fi, switching it off and letting this device handle all Wi-Fi gives a better result — two parallel networks interfere with each other.

Between the AX53 and the AX55 the only difference is the USB port; Wi-Fi speed is identical.

OneMesh — expanding later

The AX55 supports OneMesh: if a far room runs short of signal, adding a compatible extender is enough — no separate "_EXT" network appears and the home keeps one Wi-Fi network.

Setup and security

Setup through the Tether app takes 5–10 minutes: connect the device, set the network name and password, enter the ISP details. If you want it installed and configured in Baku, our Wi-Fi installation service starts at 25 ₼.

HomeShield adds malicious-site blocking, a guest network and parental controls (time limits, content filtering).

Frequently asked questions about the Archer AX55

How many rooms does it cover?

In a normal concrete-walled flat, two to four rooms, roughly 100–120 m². For two storeys or a larger area we recommend mesh.

Will older phones and laptops work?

Yes. Wi-Fi 6 is backwards compatible — Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5 devices connect normally, at their own speeds.

What is the USB port for?

To plug in an external drive or flash stick and share files across the home network, and to put a printer on the network. If you do not need that, the AX53 is better value.

What about warranty and delivery?

The device is sold by the official TP-Link partner in Azerbaijan with official warranty. Delivery in Baku is available and shipping to the regions is possible. If you need installation, see our services page.
