The TP-Link TL-WN722N is a Wi-Fi adapter that plugs into the USB port of a laptop or desktop. If a computer has no Wi-Fi, or its existing module picks up a weak signal and keeps dropping, this adapter fixes that — with no cable to run.

Wireless speed reaches 150 Mbit/s. That covers video, internet calls, online gaming and everyday work. A detachable 4 dBi antenna is included — noticeably stronger than the built-in antenna of a typical USB adapter, and it tells where the signal is weak. Running the adapter out on a USB extension cable to a window or a shelf improves reception further.

Security uses WPA/WPA2 encryption, and you can join a network with one press of the WPS button — no need to type the password by hand.

Will the speed match the router?
