The TP-Link SM6110-LR is a 25-gigabit SFP28 optical module. It is made for single-mode 9/125 μm fibre and reaches up to 10 kilometres at 1310 nm.

That is the key difference from the multimode SM6110-SR: the SR works within 70–100 metres and is meant for links inside a data centre, while the LR carries a 25 Gbps channel between separate buildings, campuses or data centres across a city.

The module is dual rate — 25.78 Gbps and 10.31 Gbps — so it works with switches that have 25G ports (SX6632YF) and with 10G ports (SG3428X, SG3452X). That allows a staged move to 25G: the module runs in a 10G port today and delivers 25G once the switch is upgraded, with no replacement needed. It is SFP28 MSA compliant, supports DDM, is hot-swappable and handles eCPRI/CPRI.

Do I need a controller for TP-Link SM6110-LR?

A single access point can run in standalone mode. From two points up a controller (the OC200 hardware, or the software/cloud version) makes life much easier: every point appears in one panel, settings are entered once, and roaming between points behaves properly.

How is it powered?

The access points are powered over the network cable via PoE — no socket needed in the ceiling. A PoE switch or the injector in the box does the job; as the number of points grows a PoE switch becomes the cheaper option.

Can I set up guest Wi-Fi in a cafe?

Yes. In Omada the guest network is a separate SSID with access to the main network blocked, and you can add a login portal, time limits and speed limits.

What about warranty and delivery?

The device is sold by the official TP-Link partner in Azerbaijan with official warranty. Delivery in Baku is available and shipping to the regions is possible. If you need installation, see our services page.
