The TP-Link POE4824G (TL-POE4824G) is a 48 V passive PoE adapter (injector). Its job is simple: carry both data and electrical power over one network cable. That means no separate power run to wherever a camera, access point or antenna is mounted — a single Ethernet cable does both.

This matters most for devices on a pole, on a roof, high on a wall or above a suspended ceiling: there is no socket there, and bringing power in is expensive and awkward. The adapter detects the device power requirement automatically, keeps gigabit speed and needs no configuration.

The unit has a 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 DATA IN port, a 10/100/1000 Mbps passive PoE port and a 100–240 V AC power input. The housing is designed for wall mounting.

How far does it reach?

The standard figure is up to 100 metres. Some TP-Link models have an extended-distance mode that goes further at the cost of speed — usually not a problem for a camera.

Does it work with any camera?

If the camera supports PoE, yes. A device without PoE support needs a splitter, which separates the power from the cable and feeds it into the device power socket.

What should I use for several cameras?

For 2–3 cameras an injector is enough. From four cameras up, a switch with PoE ports is both cheaper and tidier — every cable ends up in one device.

What about warranty and delivery?
