The TP-Link POE10R (TL-POE10R) is a PoE splitter. It does the opposite of an injector: it separates the data and the power arriving on one network cable and hands the device a network cable and a power lead separately.

That is what you need to connect a device without PoE to a PoE network — an ordinary IP camera, a small switch, an access point or a recorder. Where there is no socket (a suspended ceiling, a pole, a warehouse roof) the device still works, because power comes in over the network cable.

Output voltage is selectable, so the splitter can be matched to different devices. It complies with IEEE 802.3af, so it works with an ordinary active PoE switch or injector. Gigabit speed is preserved and no configuration is needed.

TP-Link POE10R(TL-POE10R) is a device for carrying power over a network cable (PoE). When a camera, access point or IP phone has to go far from a socket — on a ceiling, a pole or out in the yard — you no longer need to run a separate power line.

How far does it reach?

The standard figure is up to 100 metres. Some TP-Link models have an extended-distance mode that goes further at the cost of speed — usually not a problem for a camera.

Does it work with any camera?

If the camera supports PoE, yes. A device without PoE support needs a splitter, which separates the power from the cable and feeds it into the device power socket.

What should I use for several cameras?

For 2–3 cameras an injector is enough. From four cameras up, a switch with PoE ports is both cheaper and tidier — every cable ends up in one device.

What about warranty and delivery?
