What is mesh Wi-Fi?
A mesh is a single Wi-Fi network made of two or three (sometimes more) units that talk to each other. Each unit sits in a different part of the home, and they all share one network name and one password.
The key benefit: as you walk from room to room, your phone does not switch networks manually — it hands over to the nearest unit on its own, without dropping. Video calls keep running, downloads keep going.

Do the units need to be cabled together?
No, they link wirelessly. But if the home is already wired, connecting them by Ethernet gives a more stable result — this is called ethernet backhaul and Deco supports it.
Can I keep my existing router?
Yes. The ISP cable goes into the first Deco unit, and the old router either switches to bridge mode or comes out of the setup. Running two Wi-Fi networks side by side is not recommended — devices will keep jumping between them.
Will mesh make my internet faster?
It will not raise your ISP plan. But where you used to get 5–10 Mbps because of weak signal, you will now get close to your full plan speed. For most homes that is the real gain.
Does mesh work for a house with a yard?
