About WiFi Routers.

TP-Link for business — networks in offices, shops and warehouses

Business equipment differs from home gear in three ways: it holds many users at once, it is managed centrally, and it is built for continuous operation. In a small office a home router still copes, but past 20–30 devices the problems start.

A typical setup, in order

PartWhat it is for
Router / gatewayInternet control, VPN, guest network, traffic management
SwitchWired connections; PoE ports for cameras and access points
Access point (Omada)Steady Wi-Fi across the office, guest network, many devices
Controller (OC200 / cloud)Everything in one panel, changes applied at once
VIGI cameras + NVRSurveillance, continuous recording, archive

The three most common mistakes

1. Mixing the camera network with the office network — they belong apart, separated by VLANs. 2. Buying exactly as many ports as you need today — the switch has to be replaced within a year or two; leave 30–50% headroom. 3. Putting the access point on a desk — a unit properly mounted on the ceiling gives roughly twice the coverage.

Why Omada matters

Once there are several devices, logging into each web interface is slow and error-prone. Omada gathers them into one panel: the guest network, a password change, a speed limit are set once and applied to every point. With branches, all of them are managed from one account through the cloud.

Site design, cabling, the VLAN scheme and installation — our office network setup starts from 200 ₼ with cabling at 2 ₼/m; the visit and quote in Baku and Absheron are free and the work carries a 6-month warranty.

Questions about business networks

Does a small office need Omada?

An office of 5–10 people may manage with one capable router. Once there are more than 20 devices, several rooms, or a need for guest Wi-Fi, Omada improves both coverage and management considerably.

Can I keep my existing equipment?

Usually yes — switches and existing cabling stay, and only the Wi-Fi part or the management layer is renewed. A precise answer comes after a site visit.

Do you handle cameras and the network together?

Yes, that is the most common project: a PoE switch, VIGI cameras, an NVR and Omada Wi-Fi planned as one system.

Is guest Wi-Fi risky?

Not when it is set up properly. The guest network is a separate SSID on a separate VLAN with access to the main network blocked, and speed and time limits applied.

Invoicing and warranty?

All equipment is sold by the official TP-Link partner in Azerbaijan with official warranty, and paperwork for companies is straightforward.

Need installation too?

Router and mesh setup, ISP configuration and a Wi-Fi survey — from 25 ₼. Free site visit and quote in Baku, six months warranty.
